So Noah listened to God, and he built the ark. He did everything God asked him to do.
People must have thought Noah was crazy. “A flood? An ark? You’ve lost it. Just let us live our lives, we’re doing great.”
What they didn’t know was that there was a tidal wave on the horizon.
The God of grace saw it, and wanted to prepare those who would listen. What was coming would test their faith, and after the flood — something new was on the way.
According to Scripture, I firmly believe a tidal wave of discontinuous change is coming, that will significantly alter all of our cultural norms as we know them. I’m convinced that in these times, the genuineness of our faith will be tested in ways we’ve never experienced.
God sees it, and desires to prepare us for it. His heart is for us to rest secure and at peace through whatever tests come our way, with unshakeable faith, ready for the ‘new’ that is ahead.
How do we get ready for ‘new’?
It all starts with being willing to listen to Him, and do everything He asks us to do.
