Regularly of an evening, I find myself looking into the clear night sky with a cup of tea. These are times I treasure. I pray and talk with God, and marvel at His handiwork.
A lot can be said about prayer, but for me, prayer is simply having a conversation with our Father.
In the verse above, Daniel is in a foreign land. The king has issued a decree that anyone caught praying to any other gods would be thrown into the lion’s den.
Daniel has full knowledge of this order and yet still prays, not once, not twice but three times a day, every day.
Daniel was confronted with a test: ignore and cease communication with his God, or be at the mercy of a lion’s mouth. It was the ultimate test of how much Daniel valued his relationship with God.
What do we do when faced with a test? Do we run to others, or do we run to God?
Praying is talking to God, about anything. I encourage you to take a moment in the next 24 hours to have a conversation with Him about whatever is on your heart.
