When I’m at community events, meeting with civic leaders and other guests, I’m often asked, “Where do you find such quality people?”
It’s one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive. I am so grateful for our team.
This question is similar to what Pharaoh was asking his officials: “Where can we find more people like Joseph?”
After Joseph interpreted a dream for Pharaoh, he was positioned in charge of all Egypt. In that role, Joseph demonstrated that he wasn’t only able to read and understand the times, but also had discernment and knew when to act.
Sometimes in life, we can know what the right thing to do is, but we may not know when to do it. Timing is critical. If we act too early or too late, it could prove costly.
The country of Egypt was about to face great uncertainty and turmoil. In the purposes of God, famine was not avoided, but Joseph was given wisdom to help the nation navigate all of the challenges that came with it.
How do we grow in wisdom when it comes to timing?
In these times, many of us will face challenges. We all need God’s wisdom to know not only what to do or what to say, but when to do it and when to speak.
