This year, we’ve been talking about being ready for ‘new’. Being willing to embrace the times and tests that will come our way, and to trust our Heavenly Father with our whole lives.
For each of us, that kind of choice is personal and intentional.
It’s something we decide on in our heart.
Being generous is a lot like that.
Our giving reflects what we’re passionate about, and what we prioritise. It’s intentional and planned for.
Why do we give? What motivates our passions and priorities?
We give because of one cause and one cause alone.
The reason He wants to be in relationship with people is simple.
He so loves us!
Love for people has always been His motivation.
As believers, He entrusts us to live with that same cause, and with that same love. It’s an incredible love for all people everywhere, no strings attached. And that love will hold each of us, without fail, as we live out His purposes into the ‘new’.
Thank you for having hearts that are passionate for His cause.
I’m so grateful for this church family, and for all that He wants to do collectively and individually as we give generously together.

Giving will be received during services on Sunday 21 July. This giving is not eligible for tax deductibility.
To give in-person, visit the Welcome Desk. Please advise us at the time of giving if you would like to receive a tax deductibility statement.

You can choose to give either with or without tax deductibility.
Tax deductible giving can only be used for specific initiatives, as per the law. Selecting Non-Tax Deductible giving enables us to use your giving towards a larger range of initiatives, wherever the need is greatest.
If you are an Australian tax payer and would like to receive a tax deductible receipt for giving above $2, you can request this in one of three ways:
We’ll take down your details at the time of giving. You’ll receive a tax summary after the end of the 2019-20 financial year for your For This Cause giving.
A healthy home base is vital. Everything we do flows out of it.
We steward resources to strengthen our home because of people.
The ones who gather here now.
The ones who will gather in the future.
The ones in our world.
Our calling extends beyond our doors: firstly into our local community in which God has planted us, and also into our nation of Australia.
Civic Community Services (CCS) is a not-for-profit charity serving the Toowoomba regional community and beyond, through initiatives such as the Loads of Love Appeal. CCS also supports the work of Civic Assist through Fresh Cuts and other assistance programs.
This entity is our community’s response to domestic and family violence.
It is a key vehicle for driving cultural and behavioural change through safe, respectful relationships.
An initiative of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, Toowoomba’s Neighbourhood Christmas hosts an annual lunch on Christmas Day for people who are doing it tough or simply don’t want to be alone.
It’s a meaningful way to celebrate and share Christmas with people in our local community.
Our high school youth ministry, Civic Youth is passionate about seeing young people encounter God and be encouraged in their faith.
We have two annual youth camps, dedicated to providing those opportunities. Every year, there are teens who would like to be on the bus to camp and need help to get there.
Thrive is a ministry of our church that offers small group mentorship for primary school children. Young people are encouraged to develop a positive outlook, self-esteem and core life skills.
We have a firm understanding that God’s love for people is borderless. We believe that God has positioned us to make a difference in lives across the globe.
Madagascar is recognised as one of the poorest nations in the world. Through Project Madagascar, a committee of Civic Aid and Development, over 600 students are given education and life skills, essential in breaking the cycle of poverty. The Project coordinates much-needed facilities and resources including classroom furniture, curriculum resource, and teachers’ wages.
