She is flawed
And at times, fragmented
Full of imperfect people

She is glorious, awkward, broken and brave.
She often has limped through the pages of history. 

And yet —

She is the Bride.
Beloved and Becoming.

Not a building or a brand — but a people. 
A singing, praising, forgiving, 
failing and trying-again kind of people.
A family that is not built on bloodlines but by grace. 

She gathers in cathedrals, halls and lounge-rooms. She’ll gather for communion, worship and Word.

She can be heard in whispered prayer
and loud declarations.

She is a miracle in motion.
A body with bruises but with open hands. 

Hands that hold. 
Hands that build.
Hands that welcome.
Hands that lift.

She is a light in the darkness of night.
A hope on the horizon.
Beckoning sons and daughters to come home.

She is God’s idea, God’s plan,
Christ’s body — the dwelling place of the Spirit.
And the world’s invitation to truly breathe life.

So don’t give up on her.
She’s still becoming who she was made to be.
Still growing in grace.
Still learning to love.
Still wrestling with truth.

She is still the hope of the world,
not because she’s perfect
but because she will always point to the One who is.

She has a cause.
A cause like no other.
A cause not just worth living for
but dying for too.
