Luke 4:16 (NLT) [bible-link v=”Luke+4%3A16&version=NLT”]
When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.
Habits are part of our lives, whether we like it or not. They can either work for us or against us. I love the way Jesus was known and had a reputation that on the Sabbath, He was in church.
That says to me that He prioritised the importance of God’s house, and its community. He recognised the need for others in His life.
As we finish off the devotional today, why not make a resolution to intentionally engage with who we are as a church community in 2020.
Community takes commitment.
