Day 12 – Better Together!

Daniel 3:16-18 (NIV) [bible-link v=”Daniel+3%3A16-18&version=NIV” c=”light”]
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

I love to watch rugby league, and hailing from Townsville, it’s only natural that the North Queensland Cowboys would be my team!

One of the things I love observing in league or any team sports is the team’s ability to work together, overcome together and achieve together.

Daniel 3 describes a test that three men faced together. Some of the key words for me in these verses are the words ‘we’ and ‘us’. They were all in this together, no matter the outcome.

I believe that when you and I are faced with tests, it’s so important to have like-minded and like-hearted people around us to walk through it together.

Think about who the influencers in your life are right now, and ask yourself, “Will they walk through the tests with me, or will they abandon me when ‘the heat’ gets turned up?”

Let’s surround ourselves with people who are ready to face the tests together!
